Ingredients
Scale
Salmon
- 1 lb Salmon filet (approx. 1 lb)
- Salt, as desired
- Pepper, as desired
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder (for seasoning salmon)
Creamy Lemon Sauce
- ½ cup Greek yogurt (plain)
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Dried thyme
- 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Pepper, as desired
- 1 Tbsp Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat and season salmon: Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels. Season the salmon evenly on both sides with salt, pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder to enhance flavor.
- Bake the salmon: Place the seasoned salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Prepare the creamy lemon sauce: While the salmon is baking, melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat. Once melted, remove the pot from heat and stir in the plain Greek yogurt, dried thyme, lemon juice, remaining 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix the sauce thoroughly until smooth and well combined.
- Serve: When the salmon is fully cooked, plate the fillets and drizzle the creamy lemon sauce evenly over the top. Garnish the dish with sliced green onions for a fresh, vibrant finish. Serve immediately for best taste.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcook the salmon; it should remain moist and tender.
- Plain Greek yogurt can be substituted with sour cream if desired.
- Adjust lemon juice and seasoning to taste for a more or less tangy sauce.
- This recipe can easily be doubled for more servings.
